SKIN & BODYCARE

IT´S FANTASTIC TO GO TO SOMEONE WHO GIVES YOU A MASSAGE,  A FACE TREATMENT OR A PEDICURE.  IT RELEASE OUR FEELGOOD HORMONE OXYTOCIN.  BUT YOU CAN ALSO DO A LOT AT HOME AND HERE I WILL GIVE YOU SOME TIPS.

  • DRY BRUSHING - MY NUMER ONE ALL TIME IS DAILY DRY BRUSHING. YOU GET YOUR LYMPHATIC SYSTEM ACTIVE AN YOUR SKIN WILL BE SOFT AS ON A BABY. TO OPEN THE LYMPHNODS START TO PUMP A LITTE BIT IN YOUR HOLLOWS OF THE KNEE, THE GROINS, JUST ABOVE THE COLLARBONES, AND IN YOUR ARMPITS.

  • ABHYANGA SELFMASSAGE - WITH WARM SESAMEOIL. A TRADITIONAL AYUVEDIC MASSAGE TO CLEN THE BODY, SUPPORT THE LYMPHATIC SYSTEM, SOFTEN SOUR MUSCLES AND STIFF JOINTS. START WITH DRY BRUSHING, THEN ADD THE OIL TO YOUR BODY IN SLOW MOVES. KEEP THE OIL ON FOR 15 MIN, THEN TAKE A WARM SHOWER WITHOUT USING ANY SOAP.

  • HAPPY YOGA FEET - FILL A BIG BOWL WITH WARM WATER, 1 DL EPSOM SALT (MAGNESIUM), BICARBONATE (EXFOLIATING), AND SOME AROMATIC OIL YOU LIKE, FOR EXAMPLE LAVENDEL FOR CALMING. SOAK YOUR FEETS FOR 10 MIN, CLOSE YOUR EYES AND BREATH, MAYBE PUT OM SOME SOFT RELAXING MUSIC. THEN TAKE A FOOT FILE AND FILE YOUR FEET. AFTER YOU TAKE SOME SOFT CREAM OR OIL AND MASSAGE YOUR FEETS, AFTER THAT YOU ARE IN HEAVEN.
  • HOMEMADE BODYSCRUB - PUT SOME SEASALT AND OLIVEOIL IN A BOWL, IF YOU WANT YOU CAN ALSO ADD SOME AROMATIC OIL. THEN SCRUB THE WHOLE BODY (NOT THE FACE, THE SALT IS TO RUFF FOR THAT). TAKE A WARM SHOWER. YOUR BODY IS NOW SOFT AND DEHYDRATE
  •   HOMEMADE FACESCRUB - PUT SUGAR AND OLIVEOIL TOGETHER AND DO A GENTLE SCRUB IN YOUR FACE.

PRODUCTS

To choose products is not so easy these days, there are a djungel of products out there. So it really depends on what you like and prefer. I always suggest you to go to a licensed and authorized skin therapist to find out,  what kind of skintype you have. Also if you have some kind of condition.

In Sweden you can look for the sign from Sveriges Hudterapeuters riksförbund, if they have that sign, you know they are authorized skin therapists.

MY CHOICE

I am a big fan of organic skincare, and oils. Right know i am using the Swedish brand Maria Åkerberg. As i am over 60, my skin likes the products for mature skin. The line More is my favorite.

Olive cleansing, AHA cleansing milk, Neroli freshener, More serum, day cream face lotion more, eye cream more, royal facial oil more, night cream more, and if i am very dry i use face balm.

I also like to use other different kinds of oil for my face, like carrot, rose hip, borage, rasberry seed oil.
